Chris’ skillset runs the full gamut from the first step (i.e., helping identify your wants/needs) to the last (i.e., closing the deal). We were fortunate enough to run into Chris at one of our early open houses and were immediately impressed by his deep knowledge of the local market. An East Bay native himself (along with his father who is also an established local agent), Chris not only has a wealth of information about different Oakland and Berkeley neighborhoods (including seismic/fire risk, soil condition, sales history, etc.) but also knows many individual properties/property owners. Due to this intimate knowledge of the local market (and relationship with property owners), Chris was able to show us multiple properties before they came on the market, as well as walk us through several that were not yet ready for public showing. Finally, thanks to Chris’ offering and negotiation skills we were able to put the winning bid on a Hiller Highland home after an almost nine-month search. Our final bid was considerably below market value which is a testament to Chris’ effective advice and assistance.
We started our search with Chris in June 2020. We had a pretty wide search area and a bit of a fluctuating budget, and Chris did an awesome job working through scenarios with us. In the end, we narrowed our search in August and were able to secure a showing at a house that came onto the market the day before.
